Mayan Magic Wildfire Review
Symbols, Mayan Wilds and paylines
In this slot review, we’ll have a look at the bonuses and features of Mayan Magic Wildfire. No Limit City has released several slots in the last few months, and Mayan Magic Wildfire is the latest addition to their growing games library. The slot takes place in the jungle of the Mayan empire, and your quest is to find the shiny gems that are hiding there.
Mayan Magic Wildfire is a 5-reel slot with 10 paylines, and the paylines win both ways. There are ten symbols in the game: the low paying symbols green, mint, blue, purple and red gems, the medium paying symbols snake and leopard, and the three high paying Mayan symbols. The red Mayan symbol is worth the most, as five in a line of this symbol pays a win of 20x your bet stake. This might seem pretty low, but the game has multipliers which can boost the winnings.
In addition to the ten standard symbols, a Mayan wild can land anywhere on the three middle reels. When this happens, the Mayan wild feature is activated. The centre symbol of the middle reel will be transformed into a wild that sticks to the reel for the rest of the feature. Any wilds that land on the following spins will also stick to the reels, and the multiplier increases by one for every third Mayan wild that appears. The wilds substitute any other symbol, and since Mayan Magic Wildfire have paylines that win both ways, it is possible to connect many lines of premium symbols with a nice multiplier on top.
Mystery Wilds and Mystery Sync features
Mayan Magic Wildfire doesn’t have a standard free spins modus or bonus game, but it has two exciting bonus features that show up quite frequently. When clicking on the spin button, the screen might suddenly turn dark, and small green fireflies might appear on the reels. When this happens, one of two bonus features can be activated: Mystery Wilds and Mystery Sync. You will notice that these fireflies show up often, but beware that they sometimes tease a feature without actually giving you one.
The Mystery Sync feature is quite simple, and it does exactly what the name suggests. The symbols on the three middle reels will synchronize, giving you a better chance of getting a line of a good symbol. Since only the middle symbols are synced, it is possible to miss the other reels and not get a win at all. Thankfully, the Mystery Wilds feature is triggered much more often, since this is where the biggest wins in Mayan Magic Wildfire come from.
When the random Mystery Wilds feature is triggered, a green box will light up the centre position of the middle reel. The symbol that lands in the highlighted box will transform into a wild that sticks to the reel for the entire feature, and any additional of that same symbol on the three middle reels will also turn into wilds. Once a wild has been chosen, the Mayan Wilds feature we wrote about in the previous part of the review will begin. But since the wild is a random symbol this time, you could get many more wilds from the Mystery Wilds feature. For example, if you get a blue gem that is quite common, you could get tons of wilds that stick to the reels and increase your multipliers for huge wins!
Graphics and sounds
No Limit City put a lot of effort into the graphics and sounds of their slots, and they are the creators of quirky and well-designed games such as Sushi Mania and Owls. But the studio has really stepped up its game with Mayan Magic Wildfire, as it’s probably their best looking slot to date. The game is placed in front of a beautiful waterfall that is surrounded by lush plants and colourful flowers, and the calm music is made up by pan flutes and drums. You can hear the sounds of the deep jungle with exotic birds singing and wild animals roaring in the background as the reels are spinning.
The animations and graphics of Mayan Magic Wildfire are top-notch, and it looks great on both desktop and mobile. If you want to mute the music or the sound, you can always click on the menu button at the bottom of the game to adjust the settings. And if you want a quicker game experience, you can also activate turbo mode by clicking on the lightning symbol on the right side of the spin button – this will make the reels spin much faster.
Mayan Magic Wildfire is a fun slot with innovative features and a fantastic design. The game has 10 paylines that pay both ways, 10 standard symbols, and a wild that activate the Mayan wild feature. The RTP is 96.04% and we would call it a medium volatility slot, which means that you can get some big wins quite frequently. The random features appear often, so you’ll never experience a dull minute playing the game. The most potential lies in the Mystery Wilds bonus which turns one random symbol into sticky wilds that can increase your multipliers and give you several wins in a row. No Limit City has once again shown why they deserve to become a popular game provider that is available at every UK casino!
