Spinjo is an online casino registered in Costa Rica and operated by Metlait SRL, which is licensed by the Tobique Gaming Commission. It’s a rising name in the New Zealand online casino space and goes big on its welcome bonus to attract new players, while keeping others interested with regular loyalty promotions.
Spinjo is not without its issues, though. After spending some time with the site, chatting with customer support, and researching its parent company, I got a good read on the site. In this Spinjo casino review, I’ll highlight all of those features while discussing all you need to know about its bonuses, games, security, and more.
Bonuses
Spinjo offers a welcome bonus to all new players who deposit at least NZ$ 30. There are matched deposit offers and free spins on popular games like Book of Dead and Legacy of Dead, but free spins vary across the four successive bonuses available.
You’ll get the first bonus when you sign up and deposit NZ$ 30 or more, but for all the others, you’ll need to enter the promo codes listed in the table.
As with most Spinjo casino bonuses, a 40x wagering requirement applies, and you can only collect one at a time.

The lack of a win cap is notable, but only the first deposit returns 100%, and you have two 50% offers to clear before you get to the 75%.
Other bonuses
I found other Spinjo casino bonuses, including a Lucky Spin promotion that gives you a spin of either a silver or gold wheel depending on the deposit amount.
I was also offered reload bonuses every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, as well as other regular bonuses and events.
The VIP Club takes things even further, with perks like higher cash-out limits, faster withdrawals, regular cashback, and exclusive promotions.
I could only enjoy this promotion from afar, as it’s invitation-only. Spinjo doesn’t disclose qualifying criteria.
Bonus conditions
All Spinjo casino bonuses carry maximum contributions of NZ$5 per bet during the wagering period. So,while I was able to bet more than NZ$ 5 per pokie spin, only NZ$ 5 would actually count toward the requirement.
Personally, I don’t have an issue with this limit, as I rarely bet that much anywhere.
Other key terms include:
- Game contributions: Most pokies count 100% toward wagering requirements, but there is a list of excluded pokies, and all other games, including roulette, video poker, and blackjack, count for just 5%.
- No-deposit bonus limits: Although there are no win caps on the welcome bonus, no-deposit bonus winnings are capped at just NZ$ 50. I didn’t actually encounter any while reviewing the casino, though, so I don’t think they appear too often.
- Duration: You have three days to use most bonuses, including free spin offers. Three days seems to be the norm for all bonus credits, free spins, and wagering periods.

The authority offers a clear regulatory framework for online gambling operators and is licensing a growing number of casinos. Safety
I found over 25 other online casinos operated by Metlait SRL, the parent company behind Spinjo. The casino hasn’t been going that long, and some players may be deterred by the lack of a Malta or Curaçao licence, but it’s a legitimate site, and it still abides by strict privacy and security protocols.
I didn’t find anything to be concerned about in its terms and conditions or privacy policy, and it uses state-of-the-art SSL, as well as certified RNGs. There are also various responsible gambling tools, although this is one of the areas that Spinjo could definitely improve.
The only way I could set deposit limits, session limits, and a self-exclusion was to contact customer support. I always find it better when casinos give these tools directly to players, letting them set limits quickly.
The more obstacles the casino places in front of the player, the less likely they are to use those tools.

Evolution and Pragmatic Play supply the majority of the live casino games to Spinjo casino. I found the usual selection of live roulette, blackjack, and baccarat titles, but was particularly impressed with the game shows, including classic wheel-based games and more unique titles like Snakes & Ladders Live, Treasure Island, Football Studio, and the Greatest Cards Show.
Other games
Spinjo was missing my favourite crash games, including Aviator, but it more than made up for this with variants like Aviafly 2 and Airjet. I also found a section devoted entirely to football-themed instant-win games, as well as bingo, keno, scratch cards, and a section for fishing games.
There’s a virtual sports section for games like Evoplay’s Penalty Series and Six or Out from Gaming Corps, as well as classic RNG table games, and more. The categories shine once again here, as I was able to find everything I was looking for using the menus along the top, and didn’t need to dig through endless thumbnails.
Spinjo RTPs
For the most part, Spinjo seems to choose the medium-to-high option when hosting games with RTP ranges. Most of the pokies I checked offered RTPs from 94%-96%, but there were some outliers.
1spin4win is a great example. Spinjo has over 200 pokies from this creator, and most of them have RTPs in excess of 97%. So, if you’re focusing on high-RTP games, that’s a good place to start.

There was a “Verification” tab under the “Profile” section of my account. It was a three-part process (I only needed two), and I could verify directly through my account:

- Payment: Bank statement or card image. I used crypto and wasn’t asked to verify.
Customer service
Spinjo casino has a built-in messaging system, as well as 24/7 live chat. I waited an average of 5 to 10 minutes for live chat, but the representatives were very helpful and fairly quick after I connected.
Deposits and withdrawals
Strangely, I wasn’t able to deposit or withdraw using Visa or Mastercard. I queried live chat about this, and they seemed stumped. They then sent my request to another department, and I’m still awaiting a response.
It feels like one of those “we don’t know” questions that just disappear into the ether.
The website states that it accepts these methods, but there’s a chance they’re not available in New Zealand.
There’s also a chance my account glitched, so keep this in mind.
On the plus side, I counted 16 other accepted methods across the deposit and withdrawal sections, and at NZ$ 3 000 daily, NZ$ 7 500 weekly, and NZ$ 30 000 monthly, the withdrawal limits are quite high. Those limits don’t apply to progressive jackpots.
